Loggers will compete from all over the country for the title of Rocky Mountain Champion Lumberjack. Using power saws, axes and handsaws, the men and women competitors will cut down "trees", chop logs and saw squared wood blocks in half, racing the clock for the fastest time. Cowboys ride bulls and broncs. There is an admission fee, with children under 12 free. Money raised will be used for civic projects. No coolers are allowed. A parade will begin the day, which will start off in Encampment and proceed through Riverside. The wood chopping events begin on Saturday at 10 a.m. and on Sunday at 9 a.m. A barbecue lunch will be served beginning at 11:30 a.m. on both days for a separate charge. The WRA Rodeo begins Saturday and Sunday at 1:30 p.m. on both days.
