The University of Wyoming Extension in Sweetwater County will begin the 2013 Master Gardening Course this January. One advantage to taking the course this year is that next year there will be a new manual and other changes that will increase the cost of the course. The cost of the course is to cover the book and supplies. The first day of class is January 8. Classes will be held 1 – 2 days per week. They will be on Tuesday and/or Thursday, with two Saturdays as well. Weeknight classes will go from 6 pm to 9 pm. Saturday class times are tailored to the subject matter. Classes will be held at the Western Wyoming Community College in Rock Springs. Classes will cover basic botany, plant problems and solutions, pests, soil, water, lawns, trees, vegetables, fruits, flowers, weeds, composting, propagation, and pruning.
