Giving Voice Poetry Reading and Mini-Workshop with Naomi; she will read her poetry on the topic of giving voice. She will also give a voice to residents' stories and thoughts about life in the Farson-Eden region by allowing them to participate in a free poetry reading and mini-workshop. No previous writing experience is required. Afterward, light refreshments and informal conversation will take place.
An award-winning poet, writer and educator, Nye describes herself as a wandering poet. She has spent 37 years traveling the country and the world to lead writing workshops and inspire students of all ages, using her poetry to attest to people's shared humanity.
