Rollover on Yellowstone

Pitched in the Ditch
Posted

This rollover happened today (7-26-12) in front of the Wyoradio building at 2717 Yellowstone Rd. in Rock Springs. The truck was traveling toward the fairgrounds and was being driven by a young woman. The gentleman in the picture with the green shirt was a passenger in the car that is behind him. The accident happened a few minutes before 7a.m.

The driver of the car stated, "The truck didn't try to slow down at all, it just came straight at us". Had it not been for the drainage ditch, the passenger in the green shirt would have sustained major trauma or may even have died. Other than some bleeding on the forehead, the woman seemed to be in good shape. I do not have the name of the driver, and do not know the reason the vehicle veered off the wrong side of the road. If you use this picture, please credit the person who took it: R.P. McMurphy the morning radio show host for KSIT.
