GREEN RIVER — A brush fire reported in Green River on Friday was allegedly started by a group of juveniles.

Officers responded to the brush fire, which then spread from the brush to items located on a resident’s property. Officers helped Green River Fire Department firefighters extinguish the flames. It was determined the fire was not caused by natural factors.

Officers met with individuals who suspected juveniles of starting the fire. They then met with the juveniles in question and the property owner. The juveniles admitted to starting the fire and agreed to do restitution for the damages caused by the fire. Officers completed a report of the incident.
